This notice explains personal data processing for the Silacademic website and study account. Paddle separately handles your purchase as merchant of record. Contact the Silacademic operator above about this service's personal data; use Paddle's privacy channels for records it controls independently.
Information and purposes

How information is collected and the basis for use
Information is collected from your entries, Google sign-in, browser requests and verified Paddle payment notifications. We use account and purchase information to provide the service you request; security information to protect the service and users; and records needed to meet applicable obligations or establish and handle claims. Where consent is required for an optional feature, that feature must be enabled by your choice. An acknowledgement of this notice is not consent to unrelated marketing.
Service providers and optional connections
Cloudflare hosts the site and account/device/billing records. Google supplies sign-in. Paddle supplies checkout, billing and its customer portal. Opening a hosted lesson video loads a YouTube privacy-enhanced player and sends connection information to Google/YouTube. If you choose to connect Google Calendar or Tasks, the browser exchanges the data needed for the actions you request with Google under the permissions you grant. You can revoke optional Google access in your Google account. Browser read-aloud may use device or browser voice services.
See the privacy notices of Cloudflare, Google and Paddle. These providers may process information in countries outside your own. The transfer arrangements and protections depend on the applicable service and law; contact us for information relevant to your account. We do not sell your personal data or use this site to run targeted advertising.
Storage and retention
Account profiles and fixed preview assignments are retained while the account is maintained. Sign-in sessions expire after seven days; a device registration remains until removed. A device-management ticket expires after ten minutes. Expired credentials cannot authorise access, although expiry is not the same as immediate deletion of the underlying record. Billing information is retained as needed to administer purchases, refunds, disputes and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact correspondence is retained while the request and any associated obligations or dispute need it. You may ask about or request deletion of retained information.
Local study data remains until you clear it or your browser removes it. Deleting an account on the server does not clear storage on your devices; clearing local storage does not cancel a subscription. Read Cookies & browser storage for the controls and consequences.
Your requests and rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may request information about processing, access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a portable copy. You may withdraw consent for consent-based processing and complain to the relevant data protection authority. Where Turkish law applies, you may also ask about recipients of your data, request notification of corrections/deletions to them, object to a result against you based solely on automated analysis and seek a remedy for unlawful processing. These rights are subject to the conditions in the applicable law.
Use Contact and select a privacy request, preferably from your account email. We may need to verify your identity before changing an account or disclosing data. We will respond within the time required by the law that applies. Do not send identity documents unless a suitable verification method has been agreed. Information held only in your browser may need to be accessed or removed on that device.

The version date above identifies this notice. We will update it when service data practices change and provide additional notice when required.
